Most people know that we are huge fans of funky weddings. This one was a ripper!

I used to work with Rachel at the local vet clinic and she is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. She is an animal lover in the true meaning of the term. I just knew that animals would be featuring in this wedding.

And then there is Dan. A top natured bloke who was born with engine oil under his fingernails and axle grease in his hair.

These two make a great couple and are great fun to be around. So with the love of animals and horsepower in mind, you can only imagine the wedding these guys had.

I’ve shot brides arriving in hot rods, ski boats, limos, horse-drawn carriages and tractors. But never have we seen a bride arriving by a steam-powered tractor! Holy moly, it was awesome.

Dan and a good number of mates had spent quite a long time getting things ready for the big day. His pride and joy (besides Rachael and the fur babies) would have to be the train he had built, along with the hundreds of meters of track around the location. These guys had a ball!
